Emphasizing on the necessity of interaction with Bank SHAHR, the mayor of metropolitan city of Mashhad announced an agreement with this bank to provide contractors with facilities to carry out urban projects
According to the Communication Center and Public Relations of Bank SHAHR, Mohammad Reza Kalaei, referring to the meeting with the bank's CEO Ahmad Derakhshandeh, said: "With the coming of the 5th term of the city council and urban management, a considerable part of the municipality's debts to banks including Bank SHAHR has been settled and hence, a new approach to municipal interactions with banks has been dominated.
In this meeting, Kalaei emphasizing on the necessity of BANK SHAHR coordinating with the municipality, alluded to the need for the banking system to participate in the financing of worn-out renovation projects, the purchase of buses and train wagons, said: “One of the other activities of banking system for supporting urban management is providing the needed funding for purchasing equipment through leasing, and we hope that BANK SHAHR will also be associated with the municipality.
According to him, the municipality of Mashhad intends to provide banking facilities to the people who are involved in the construction, repair and renovation of the urban decay around the shrine of Emam Reza (peace be upon him).
"In this case, semi-complete projects around the shrine will be offered and these facilities will be granted guaranteed by the municipality; the municipality will also receive various mechanisms to ensure that investors regain their investment in this area”.
He further expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Bank for supporting urban management of metropolitan areas so that the bank can provide indirect citizen participation in the implementation of urban projects and the achievement of goals.
